Our History

Our Story

Hamido Baklavalan takes its name from the esteemed retired Major of the Gendarmerie, Hamit YILDIZ. Also known as Hamido, he was wounded during a pinpoint operation camed out by the Şırnak METELER Gendarmerie Special Operations Battalion on December 25, 2007, and was retired as a ‘Disabled Veteran’ from the Anneci Forces due to injuries sustained from stepping on a landmine. Hamit YILDIZ, who also pursued a masters degree in the Department of Buslness Administration at Mersin University, halis from İslahiye district in Gaziantep.

For years, Muzaffer BOZKURT and Behzat BOZKURT, who  have been active in the baklava industry in Europe, joined forces with Hamido Baklava & Plstachlo in 2020. Thejoumey began with the first franchise opened by Muzaffer BOZKURT in Karlsruhe, Germany,. paving the way to make Hamido a global brand, spanning across Europe and beyond. Both Muzaffer BOZKURT and Behzat BOZKURT are natlves of Gaziantep.

VVlth a dedication to excellence and the goal of always delivering the best, Muzaffer BOZKURT brlngs together Gazlantep’s finest baklava artisans with the highest quality ingredients. Together with Hamit YILDIZ and Behzat BOZKURT, the Hamido Baklava & Pistachio brand hasnow expanded to numerous franchise branches and dozens of selling points. They proudly carry the rightful honor of spreading the authentic, metlcuıously crafted, wood-fired Gaziantep baklava, baked in a stone oven with oal<W’ood fire, to many parts of Turkey and the world.
